Turning white and blue

Dik Sccheepers, NL. Turning White and Blue. 2008 porcelain. In my search for a new way to produce ceramics I made these objects by editing color into the casting slip and at specific times I intervened the process of forming a cast so different layers could be created.

Porcelain bowl. Approx 8" wide, 4" high.Wheel thrown, then slightly hand-altered to form a more organic shape. Glazed glossy clear with dark blue abstract marks. Each with its own unique markings.Food/microwave safe. Handwash preferable.All items in this store are made in the wabi sabi tradition. Crazing, and other irregular textures and surfaces are part of the handmade nature of the work, and should be embraced.
