I can’t say enough wonderful things about @the_pointresort on Saranac Lake in upstate New York.

Bill and I were lucky enough to spend two nights at this ultra luxurious (yet laid back and cozy) adults-only resort nestled literally on a point, at the former home (or “great camp) of the Rockefeller family. It feels strange to even call it a resort because honestly it felt like we were guests at someone’s ultra luxe home in the Adirondacks.

Service is the name of the game at this special resort and no task or request is too great or too out there. In fact, the staff prides themselves on going out of their way to make your stay exceptional. - uphill, rocky trail leads up to a Hayters Knob Fire Tower and views when you peep over the rocks atop Middle Knob and right before you descend down into the amazing 20 acre slot canyon maze
- the temperature is cooler down in the canyon and it’s just so fun exploring the labyrinth of sandstone boulders and towering rock crevices
