Canning Marinara Sauce
🍅 How to can marinara sauce 🍅 What you'll need: • Water bath canner • Wide mouth or regular Pint or Quart canning jars, lids and seals • Canned tomato puree and tomato paste (in the pasta/tomato sauce aisle of your local grocery store) it's basically just unseasoned tomato puree • Fresh or frozen tomatoes, cut into quarters • Olive oil, water, tomato paste, brown sugar, garlic, onions and spices We love the already minced garlic you'll find in a container in the produce section! (Just refrigerate after opening!) If doing a big batch of tomatoes, we use an over-sized pot on an outdoor burner to stew the tomatoes before putting through a food mill. • Cook the onions and garlic in the olive oil over low to medium heat. • Combine the tomato puree, water, tomato paste and whisk
