The plates are made of white porcelain with gilding and a central floral and urn decoration with a detached floral spray border in vibrant turquoise, pink, and yellow colors in Lenox's "Blue Tree" pattern. The 20th-century decoration is elegant. This fetching set is of the finest, high-quality craftsmanship. This same Blue Tree pattern by Lenox was chosen by Tricia Nixon, daughter to the late President Nixon, as her wedding china! Lenox stayed true to their aim to produce expertly crafted ceramic ware. As a result, their designs dating into the 1960s and 1970s are as in demand among collectors as are their patterns of decades past.
