Here is the actual double coconut in Fairchild Tropical Gardens in Miami. Although there epithet is "maldivica" they are from the Seychelles. Their seeds used to float to the Maldives and that's where their names come from! Viable seeds sink, therefore their habitat remains restricted to only a few islands in the Seychelles.
