If you've seen movies from the 1960s that were set in an office, you may very well have seen one of these–a mimeograph machine. I now know how to use one–although I'm not sure I ever would, unless I could get a decent typewriter (the one about two feet away from this wasn't doing the job too well). Once the machine is set up, you can make copies a lot faster than a photocopy machine–just by cranking the handle.
