Janne Parviainen specializes in light paintings, these are created by using a torch and a slow shutter speed on a camera. This use of light to me is very striking the idea that we can paint using a medium which can only be seen once it has been finished and you have no way of knowing if its going to turn out right gives the painter all the more freedom to create what he/she feels best.
