Just photograph a tree this winter, blow it up. Take it to a copy place and have them to put it onto thin paper and using spray glue, paste it onto a cardboard letter from Hobby Lobby. Neat idea.

Great use of banners and font texture! Could definitely use this as inspiration for some name / header ideas on a creative cv / curriculum vitae / resume design style.

The combination of water color and typography is elegant and simple. The large page numbers stand out to the reader and create a unique spread.

Look at the bottom neon rectangle. Like the way it is "folded". Could we actually fold an image and take a photo of it, and then use that as the background of the card, with the logo on top? Would create a sense of texture without needing to invest in something like letterpress etc.

A look at page numbering. The use of generous margins is also nice. I like the mystery of the numbers though. The human eye only reads the top half of a number, so these remain readable, whilst becoming a designerly feature in itself.

magazine layouts....for lots of text. I like the idea of having a sort of reference book for inspiration about layouts.

Magazine Layout. I like this layout because it is small and very direct. I enjoy the columns and the vertical stress of the layout.

(#4) First page spread for the Feature story. I like how the clean line cuts across the cut of coffee and and how the details in the font are brought out.
