Maskenbienen, Scherenbienen und Löcherbienen suchen nun kleine Nistgänge zur Brutablage. Die Bienenhäuser sind hier besonders gut geeignet. Impressions of Nature on Instagram: "✨Sometimes I am completely amazed by the gorgeousness of the monoprints I make… and this one was a complete delight… I thought it would be a real challenge but it was fairly easy to print and the detail is incredible almost photographic even the little hairs on the stem printed 💚. 🌿The meadows are at their best at the moment and I have a large patch of marsh woundwort in one field (Stachys palustris), also commonly known as hedgenettle. The Stachys genus were sometimes believed to have medicinal properties and were used in traditional herbal remedies. For example, Stachys officinalis (betony) was regarded as a powerful herb and in some European traditions, it was believed that carrying a sprig of Marsh Woundwort could protect against evil spirits
someone is placing flowers in a box with the words how i captured my garden as if nothing but the garden itself
The Disco Garden on Instagram: "Let this be your sign to PLAY outside. To see shadows as stencils, petals as pigment, garden growth as a collage medium. A new way to capture your garden’s beauty year after year—and in some ways more meaningful and intimate than just a photo. Handmade, messy, and a little feral. Who needs store-bought art when the garden has this sort of potential? Wall-worthy or what? Would you cop if I sold? Made with: plant shadows, cosmos, bachelor button, blackberry, cilantro, Biochar, safflower, calundula and bee encouragement!! #backyardgarden #gardenart #naturecrafts #naturecraftsforkids #shadowdrawing #botanicalinspiration #botanicalart #backyardgardening #gardeningforbeginners #gardentipsandtricks #gardeningwithkids"

These little food rocks are perfect for messy, creative fun outside! My favorites are the blueberry jam and toast! 🫐🍞Which one’s your favorite? #rockpainting #mudkitchen #kidscraft #diygarden #craftforkids #natureplay"

Jamie Walton | Nettles & Petals on Instagram: "Chive Blossom Vinegar 🌱🌸 Chives are one of the easiest herbs to grow and add around the vegetable garden, they are also perennial, so come back year after year. 😊🌱 At this time of the year they produce their little blossoms, which the bees absolutely love! So I leave most of them for them, but I can’t help but use a few. 😋🌸 I pop a few of the blossoms off each plant, rinse them off, and gently bruise to release more of the flavour. Then pop them into a jar, along with some organic apple cider vinegar and a weight so they stay submerged. 🍎 After a couple of days they will have infused the vinegar turning it a vibrant shade of pink. 🌸 I then just scoop out the blossoms and use those as a pungent snack. Strain out the vinegar into

Jamie Walton | Nettles & Petals on Instagram: "Dandelion Micro-greens 🌱🌼 Micro-greens are a great way to grow a little of your own food at home even in the smallest of spaces, and one of my favourite things to grow as micro-greens are dandelions as their seed is free to collect and generally on every bank side at this time of the year! 😊👍🌼 I simply collect two or three seed heads, pull off the seeds and twist off the fluffy pappus that helps carry them on the wind. 🌱 Once you’ve collected 2 or 3 heads worth of seeds, you can sow them into something like this terracotta bowl that I’m using. I add a thin layer of compost, firm it down and simply sprinkle the seeds on top and water them well. 💦🌱 Within just a couple of days you should see the seeds sprouting, and they grow really

Jamie Walton | Nettles & Petals on Instagram: "Edible Garden Flowers 🌼🌸😋

I grow and companion plant as many flowers in the vegetable garden as possible, as they offer so many benefits such as pest reduction and increased yields due to pollination. 🌼

However, my favourites are always multifunctional flowers that are beneficial, beautiful and also edible! 😋🌼🐝

Nasturtium: All parts of the nasturtium are edible. They produce flowers in a myriad of colours, which brighten up any dish and the leaves are great in salads. 🌸🥗

I also use them to create borders and barriers all around the garden, utilising them as a sacrificial crop drawing pests away from other plants such as brassicas. 🥦🐛

Alison Schillfarth on Instagram: "From get out of my yard to get in my belly. Dandelions are nutrient dense and medicinal, so many ways to use dandelion, this is one of my favorite ways! 2 cups chopped fresh dandelion leaves loosely packed 1/2 cup pine nuts 3 garlic cloves minced 1 Tbsp lemon juice 1 Tbsp lemon zest 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Wash your dandelion and dry. Put everything into a blender or food processor (some say to hand mix cheese in, but i dont) and process until smooth. Enjoy within 3 days. To yield a pesto that is not bitter only use young leaves, the older the dandelion leaves the more bitter. Another option is to split the dandelion with another herb, l
