805 reactions · 432 shares | If you have kids like mine who can eat their body weight in strawberries then you need to try this easy Strawberry Simple Syrup! 🍓🍓🍓 I came across this recipe and was intrigued because it uses just the tops and since we just toss them out I figured it couldn’t hurt 😂 here’s what I used! 3.5 c of strawberry tops 2.5 c water 2.5 c sugar Boil over medium heat for 10 minutes then add juice of 1 lemon and splash of vanilla extract. Continue boiling for 10-15 minutes, drain and let cool. Store in fridge and enjoy! We added to lemonade but would be delicious in ginger ale, sprite, mixed drinks or whatever you want! Happy Friday and I hope everyone has a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend! 🎉 | Rachael Mason | Kronicle · Chill Noons

Melt the butter in a large pot on medium heat and then fry the onions for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. 2. Lower the heat and add a dash of salt and a slightly bigger dash of sugar. Let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions are caramelized. 3. Add garlic and cook two minutes more. 4. Add the red wine and give the sides/bottom a good scrape. Then add the beef broth, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, bay leaves, balsamic vinegar, and a little more salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer 15 minutes, then remove the herbs. 5. Meanwhile, set your oven to broil. Slice the bread, brush with olive oil, arrange on a baking sheet, and slide it onto the top rack to toast. Wait a minute, then flip the bread and toast the other side for a minute. Set aside. You can also grate your cheeses and set them aside. 6. Ladle the soup into four French onion soup bowls. Place the toasted bread on top of each bowl, then sprinkle on the Gruyère, mozzarella, and finally the Parmesan. Place the bowls on the top rack of your oven and broil for around two minutes, until cheese is bubbly. Let cool a couple minutes and serve. | Chad Sapieha | gutlesshomechef · Original audio

1.1K views · 1K reactions | MICROWAVE CHOCOLATE CAKE 😍 🥳 So we tried it and it was so good. First cake in microwave, we were sceptical but give it a go and let us know what you think.🫶 This chocolate cake is super moist, and you don’t even need any eggs! You can easily make it totally dairy-free. It takes 10 minutes, and you don’t have to turn the oven on (which is the whole point of t all) All you need is: For the cake: 150g plain flour 100g granulated sugar 60g cocoa powder 2 tsp baking powder 90g unsalted butter, melted (can swap for vegetable oil) 380ml warm water Chocolate ganache topping: 150g dark chocolate 150ml double (heavy) cream Dish size: 7” (microwavable) Let it cool fully in the dish before removing it. There should be no wet batter visible. If there is, continue to microwave in 30-second bursts until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs on 😃 You can swap the ganache topping for Nutella or another chocolate spread or top it with a buttercream icing of your choice 🥰 This cake isn’t too sweet or heavy, so feel free to play with the toppings to make it your own ❤️ Enjoy!
