Korean Piri (피리) The piri is a cylindrical double-reed bamboo oboe with eight finger holes, one in the back for the thumb and seven in the front. Its’ large reed and cylindrical bore gives it a sound mellower than that of many other types of oboe. The piri is an essential instrument and popularly used in both folk and classical court music.
