Working at http://manvsmachine.co.uk/ I had the chance to discover a new way to create this kind of landscapes just with a plane and the displacer effect. All you have to do is to create a plane object, then add a displacer effector as a child and play with the layers on the shader parameter. It's worth playing with so many layers to reach complex shapes (some of my shapes have a plain effector as well). Please, be creative. Check-out the whole project here: https://www.behance.net/...

In this video I show you how to create a "brush in the air" effect. All you have to do is create a landscape object (or object with a lot of polygons), add "spline wrap" deformer as a child and then create a spline. This spline is gonna be our shape created with the brush effect. The inspiration to create this tutorial comes from the awesome work of "Velvet spectrum": https://www.behance.net/velvetspectrum Audio: Phonat - Ghetto burnin' *All the object properties could variate wit...

Maybe this tip is simply and easy but can give us differents ways to create transitions between two objects. In this video I show you how to create transitions between two objects with a tracer. Create two objects, group both with a null and "fracture mograph". Then add a plain and delay effector to control the movement of the objects. Finally, add a tracer mograph to create the trace of the fracture movement. Download the scene file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ay9m0e0vq7iysdf/TRACER...

In this Zbrush's tip I will show you an easy way to extrude a mesh from any 3D object. All you have to do is import your OBJ file in Zbrush, then subdivided (the amount of subdivision depends on each object) and go to "surface" > noise plugin and play with the different noises / scale / rotation / etc... After that, mask the noise and make that selection sharper (optional). After that, go to subtool and extrude it to get the new mesh! EASY! As a tip, I would recommend as well to go to…

Here it is: it´s rather a quick break-down of the project, than a step-by-step tutorial. hope you´ll enjoy it anyway. featuring: Collision & Jiggle Deformer in Cinema 4D RigidBodies // MoDynamics with Attractor-Object The Collision-Deformer is a very useful tool. Whenever you have to manage cloth-like animation, you should explore it first, before going nuts with softbodies or cloth-tags.
