I painted the stars completely with plastered chalk paint by Waverly. Once those were done and dry, I take one of the bandanas and place the stars on the different sections cutting out a little bit larger than the stars. I add Mod Podge onto each of those using a craft sponge to apply it. I then placed down the striped one first. Just getting it lined up and smoothing it out with my hands and then drying it with my heat tool. After it was dry, I went around with my micro sander and sanded off the excess fabric. I then did a layer of Mod Podge on top of it. Drying it again with my heat tool and then I did the same process with the blue and white part of the bandana. Next I tape down these wooden letters that I got from Amazon. They're 2 inches. And I paint those with black chalk paint. And that's also by Waverly. I make sure to do the front and sides of them. Next I'm taking the two stars and I'm overlapping them. I see how I want them to be placed and then I add some hot glue. On the back of one and place it onto the other. For the hanger I add some twine with hot glue on the back. And then I cut down a small piece of a craft stick and add that on top of the twine with hot glue just for extra stability and I like things finished so I touched up the paint with the same plaster color and then add tacky glue to the back of each of those letters and place them on the red and white star And then use my heat tool to make sure that glue was fully dry and those were adhered. And I thought it needed something a little else. So I added my favorite twine flower. I take the twine and I wrap it around my hands a bunch of times. Maybe eight to 10 depending on how big you want it. And then I take the loop off my hand. Tie some twine around the center nice and tight. And then I'm cutting off the excess. I make two of those. And then hot glue one of those into place on the blue and white fabric the other one hot glued across that bottom one going in the opposite direction. For the center of the flower I make a knot in the twine. Cut off the excess from the end and then take the twine and wrap it around that knot in a flat circle. And then when it's the size I want it I take the excess twine and tuck it underneath that circle. And hot glue that to the center of the flower. And that is it for this project.
