We. each painted a dot and then we cut our dots into fourths and then rearrange them so that when they are all hung together our dots are connected because together we are better. There's more details about this probably somewhere on my blog but let's talk about hanging this beast. I attached everything to a piece of bulletin board paper then use thick kind of tagboard paper to create these tabs at the end of the bulletin board paper. Knowing that tax and hot glue wasn't going to keep this thing on the wall. Instead I used binder clips. So adding those tabs meant that I could use the binder clips to attach it to the metal in the ceiling. So that's how this was attached to the ceiling and then the sides and bottom were hot glued. Then I do have a cork strip that went right through the middle. This is me and my fabulous music teacher buddy hanging this up in the hallway. Then at the bottom it was hot glued. So here it is in all of its glory. Again each student created a dot and then my first through fourth graders cut those dots into fourth's arrange them and then when it's hung together, our dots create new dots or circles together because like I said, together we are better. This is a wonderful way to kick off the beginning of the school year. It only took me two months to get it all assembled and finally hung but I'm really happy that it is up. It looks fabulous in our school and it is going to stay there for a while because when projects take this long for me to assemble, it's going to stay up and I'm proud to say it hasn't drooped or fallen down since. Thanks to the binder clips and the glue.
