Winter wonderland door decorations

My igloo door..

Arch was carefully placed and hot glued (heavily) on pillars and also hot glued to the wall. It was a lot of glue. I didnt want it falling on a child. I used cotton stuffing and hot glued to the base. I used spray adhesive over the stuffing and sprinkled with glitter. The penguin belonged to another mom from Target. Wrapped the table in a snowy wrapping paper to resemble an ice block. At the top we draped twinkle lights from door to arch and hung snowflakes. Students decorated their own…

We decorated it for our hospital's unit "door contest". But I could see it being a great door idea for an elementary school!

2014 Chaves County Finance/IHC Dept door decoration entry. Theme was Chaves County Winter Wonderland Snowglobe. It displays actual County building with lighting christmas tree and luminarias for color. Filled with snow like material and battery operated lights. Snow globe and entire frame built and created by hand.

Who knew something so simple could be this magical? Snow garland is my new favorite thing. I mean, isn’t it dreamy? And all it took to make this snow garland was one Christmas movie, (While You Were Sleeping), a hot glue gun, one bag of cotton balls, and some nylon thread. I watched the movie, sipped coffee, and put together these strings of “snow”. Originally when I saw a similar garland it was made with wool balls. Making the wool balls sounded time consuming.…
