I love to give my kids handmade toys whenever I can. These felt tea bags are the perfect sensory and imaginative toy. Because they have dried herbs in them, they have a wonderful smell which creates an immersive imaginative experience. My son is obsessed with plants, and I wanted to make something that reflected their interests. I’ve added these to their sensory box. I pull out their sensory toys whenever they are starting to feel irritated or anxious.

This is a pouch with a zipper, but I'm going to make it without the zipper & hang it in the kitchen for mail.

Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you for all the good wishes I have received over the last week, your visits and kind words have meant a lot to me. When I knew I was imminently going into hospital I prepared a handful of teabags! I ironed Vilene on to the back of each one, and added some fabric and machine stitching to them. Now that I am recuperating I have my bag of prepared teabags and a bag of 'bits and bobs' by me so I can sit and quietly decorate them with beads, braids and…
