Sagittal plane

The 5 sections of the spine or vertebral column are the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacrum which includes the coccyx.

Bilateral symmetry refers to organisms with body shapes that are mirror images along a midline called the sagittal plane. The internal organs, however, are not necessarily distributed symmetrically.

Sagittal plane - draws a vertical line which divides the body into a left section and a right section which means divides the body into right and left parts.

Bilaterally symmetrical animals can be divided into two near-identical halves

Coronal: divides into anterior nd posterior. Transverse: divides into superior nd inferior. Sagittal: parallel to median plane. Median: (median sagittal plane) divides into left nd right halves.
