Here's one of three different Lemonhead boxes I have. This comes from the "Munktiki Collection", a large lot of consumer goods packaging saved and stored by Californian Paul Nielsen during the 1970's. I don't go after too many candy pieces that are pre-1950's, but there are some that I really dig, oftentimes due to them being early examples of iconic brands. This is certainly an example of that. Though I cannot be certain of the vintage of this box, I'm confident it's from the 1930's era. Though this early logo is scripted, the basic box colors remain the same that they would be for decades.
