✅Choose foods with a shorter list of ingredients (five ingredients or less is optimal. 

❌Avoid overly processed foods with added preservatives, additives and colorants – these additives have been shown to destroy microbiota (99% of preservatives have not even been studied!).  

✅Choose natural sweeteners like maple syrup, honey, dates, or stevia. 

❌Avoid products with artificial sweeteners. These often end in “-ose”  (such as in diet sodas and “sugar free” products.
