Teach 1st or 2nd grade communities with ease with these common core social studies lesson plans. Curriculum includes civics lesson plans, rural, urban, and suburban communities, goods and services, nonrenewable resources vs renewable resources, community helpers activities and community places crafts.

First grade / grade 1 local community. During a community wall, we took photos of the people,places, and things we saw. After that, we sorted the photos of the stores, restaurants, emergency vehicles, etc that we saw by the need it/ they help to meet. Grocery stores help meet the need for food, pharmacy and walk-in clinic for health, police car and ambulance for safety, etc.
