the handmade kantha jewelry is displayed on a table with cards and other items

Kantha jewelry starts with the idea of giving new life to old things. Kantha quilts are a traditional textile found all over India, made from layers of old cotton saris, sewn together with a running “kantha” stitch. Artisans transform the scraps into beads for jewelry and nothing goes to waste! New life is given to a textile that would otherwise be discarded. The wood bead base is made from scraps from a local furniture factory so it’s sustainable all around! #kanthajewelry #recycledsaris
