Storm chaser and photographer Camille Seaman has beautifully captured America's most extreme weather. The roaming photographer has chased storms across the US from Iowa to Wyoming and from Minnesota to Texas aiming to register the fascinating images of nature's power.

NGC 3576: Glowing Gas in the Milky Way Date: 28 Oct. 2013. A region of glowing gas in the Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way galaxy, NGC 3576 is located about 9,000 light years from Earth. Such nebulas present a tableau of the drama of the evolution of massive stars, from the formation in vast dark clouds, their relatively brief (a few million years) lives, and the eventual destruction in supernova explosions. Such nebulas present a tableau of the drama of the evolution of massive stars, from the formation in vast dark clouds, their relatively brief (a few million years) lives, and the eventual destruction in supernova explosions. The diffuse X-ray data detected by Chandra (blue) are likely due to the winds from young, massive stars that are blowing throughout the nebula…

The Hubble Space Telescope captured this stunning image of what looks like a soaring celestial snow angel. This image shows a bipolar star-forming region called Sharpless 2-106. The outstretched "wings" of the nebula record the contrasting imprint of heat and motion against the backdrop of a colder medium. Twin lobes of super-hot gas glowing blue in this image stretch outward from the central star. This hot gas creates the "wings" of our angel. A ring of dust and gas orbiting the star acts like Hubble Images, Kuantan, Carl Sagan Cosmos, Telescope Images, Nasa Hubble, Star Formation, Hubble Space, Space Photos, Space Pictures
