Gods eye quilt block

I took MSQC pattern Rose Garden and added a large God's Eye block in center. I had to modify original 5

Has anyone ever seen this block pattern? I think it is really pretty. I found it in my research of the Funk Block I found in my sewing room. Can any of you figure out how to make a template for this? It apparently date back to the 1800.I found several pictures of blocks that was all the rage back then and this was the most eye catching of them all.It is called "Gods Eye" Don't you just love it? Main - God's Eye Quilt - I just finished it in blues with a white center. I did a 16 block. I only did one block. Our club has a challenge of old patterns and their history. Sorry I don't have a picture, my camera is packed.
