My favorite memories as a student include singing in the classroom. As a teacher, I’ve learned that these songs were more than opportunities for fun with my friends. Songs and chants benefit classroom management, student learning, and community-building.

I've been spending my winter break reading a lot of things for my classroom. I've been scouring blogs, watching YouTube videos, reading books and generally thinking about how my classroom runs.
