Download this STL Model for made by tone001. Design also available in STEP. These files let you recycle all those old 3D printer filament spools we have lying around into a handy storage tower. 3D Printer Filament Dry Box: This Instructable describes how I made a dry box for my 3D printing filament. It protects the PLA from absorbing moisture from the air, which can lead to failed prints and nozzle clogs. The dry box dispenses the filament to the 3D printer too, provi…
Airtight Dry Box for 3D Printer Filament: If you have done a bit of 3D printing at home, you probably know from first hand experience that moisture can ruin plastic filament, especially PLA. Over time, moisture in the air is absorbed, and this can cause issues ranging from reduced print qua…
New filament spools from a different supplier were wider and could not fit in my original/ old design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:773044) so I made version 2, here, that would fit multiple reels in a single box. Added a simplified filament dispenser opening that prints a lot faster. But requires a pair of M3*8mm screws to secure, and a short PTFE tube to provide a smooth flow. The spools are held by a 1.5 inch PVC tuning, mounted on both sides of the box with M3*8mm...

This is the container for my filament samples shaped as mini-floppydisks that you can find here: https://www.printables.com/it/model/862027-floppydisk-filament-sampleI 3D printed the Storage Box with 0.12 layer height but 0.20 still works fine. No supports needed. I 3D printed the lid in vertical position as my 3D printer can handle that bridge on the nose, but you can also 3D print it in horizontal position with the hinges facing up.The Storage Box mimics the old floppydisk containers of…

I’ve been using the Lack enclosure for my 3d printer, but recently received a MMU2S, and realised that there wasn’t enough space in the enclosure to add my MMU, so after having a look at some other…

This is my concept of a Filament storage shelf.I used 12 mm steel rods for the connection between the brackets, but you can also use wood or aluminium pipes. Maybe it will bend a bit in the middle in this case i also created an bracket to support the middle. You shoud print this in ABS oder PETG. I didn´t tryed it in PLAI printed it with a 0.4 nozzle with 4 perimeters for stability. Do not use less then 25% infill (triangular or honeycomb).I used 25% and it works fine You maybe need a brim…
