Classroom "Parking Lot." Assign all students a parking place. When you need to do a quick, short exit pass, have the kids write their work on post-it notes and stick them to this poster. Each student will use their number (assigned by teacher). You can quickly record their scores. To differentiate this assignment, give out different colored post-its and direct the children to answer a certain question based on the color of their post-it. Love this idea!!

Choose a desired behavior and write it on the board. Select a stick, but don't reveal the name to the class. Throughout the lesson, periodically monitor the named student for the desired behavior. If he achieves the goal behavior, reveal his identity and reward him with a special classroom incentive. If the named student doesn't demonstrate the behavior, do not name the student, tell the class that there was not a winner this time. Choose another mystery student and repeat the process.

ZAP game / basic rules: draw a popsicle stick, do something based on what it says, if you get the ZAP stick they all go back in the jar. could be played a million different ways. this teacher uses it as a "brain break" with movements. many use to reinforce vocab (give definition, use in a sentence, etc). would be great for english or french!
